    A discussion is held in our class over the topic which is more important: knowledg-e from textbooks or experience from practice.

Some students think knowledge from textbooks is more convincing for the reas-on that it comes from the practice of our ancestors and it can save us a lot of energy and time.

Other students believe experience from practice is more reliable for it comes directly from our own activities and the knowledge on textbooks may be univers-al and updated.

  As far as I am concerned, the two should be combined. On the one hand, the former provides us with a base for exploration. On the other hand, only through con-tinuous practice can we promote the advances of knowledge. As students, while w-e are learning the textbook, we should value practice. Only in this way can we make ourselves learned and resourceful.
