A terrible earthquake, measuring at 6.5Ms, which is believed to be the strongest and deadliest one since 14 years ago in Yunnan, struck Ludian County, Yunnan Province on August 3. It caused 615 people deaths,3143 people injured, and 114 people missing. A great number of houses and buildings were destroyed, leaving thousands of people homeless. What’s worse, there were hill slide, with roads blocked as well as water supply, electricity and telecommunication cut off. Luckily, the government took immediate action to organize a great many soldiers and volunteers to rescue the people from danger.
