問題詳情:
There is always something that we cannot forget and it can change our attitude towards
life. When I was young, my mother liked to make breakfast food for dinner at times. And I remember one night in particular when she had made dinner after a long, hard day at 41 that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely 42 toast in front of my dad. I remember 43 to see if anyone noticed! 44 all my dad did was reach for his toast, 45 at my mom and ask me how my day was at school… I don’tremember what I told him that night, but I do remember 46 him spread butter and jam on that toast and eat every bite!
When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom 47 to my dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never 48 what he said: “Honey, I love burned toast.”Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really 49 his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Your Mom got 50 a hard day at work today and she’s really 51 . And besides, a burned toast never 52 anyone!”
53 is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. I’m not the best at anything, and I forget 54 and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s 55 — and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences — is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing and 56 relationship where a burned toast isn’t a deal-breaker!
We could extend this to any 57 . In fact, understanding is the 58 of any
relationship, whether it is a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!
“Don’t put the key to your 59 in someone else’s pocket— keep it in your own.”
So please pass me a toast, and yes, a burned one will 60 be fine!
